Working with Caitlin was incredible. Our movement investigation for Della Barrios in CTG's ZOOT SUIT was such a gift. I was amazed by how much of the character was revealed to me through Caitlin's exercises. Her strong imagery and open exploration helped me get in touch with truly trusting my instrument. I can't wait to get back in the studio with her.

Caitlin took me through my first exploration in animal work and it really gave me a firm foundation from which to make character choices later on. Aside from being a really good time, her animal workshop allowed me to find ways to be completely open and expressive in a way that is anchored in the body instead of just logic and thought. Being connected to the body in this way informed everything else and gave me a permission to play without feeling limited.

She made sure we paid attention to not only the specifics of how we would move as our selected animal but what our motivations and fears may be as this animal - tapping into a primal instinct that really helped me discover places in my characters psyche I wouldn’t have discovered otherwise. Too often we walk around in life and into auditions with little to no awareness of the body and miss the opportunity for ease that being in tune with it affords us. Working with Caitlin made it so this was impossible to miss out on and enhanced my work as well as my relationship with the world around me during the workshops.

Working with Caitlin has been such a gift. I was nervous when I started movement and animal work because I knew it was going to require vulnerability, but in the first few minutes of working with Caitlin, I felt completely supported and safe enough to explore whatever emotion came up. Not only does she create a space of trust and empathy but you feel like you're in the hands of someone who completely understands the depth and complexity of the connection between the mind and the body and has endless tools at her disposal to help you explore and expand.

The things I have learned from working with Caitlin have not only deepened my artistry but have helped me to check in and be more present in my body on a day to day basis. I hold Caitlin in the highest regard and could not recommend her more. Working with her has become an indispensable part of my process that I know is only going to continue to deepen my understanding of storytelling as a whole.

Movement work can be really vulnerable, especially animal work. It can feel a bit absurd to be walking around pretending to be a sloth or a rhino or something. Caitlin creates such a safe and creatively free environment that all of that self-consciousness goes away. She’s gets down in the weeds with you exploring character, gently pushing you to go a little deeper or a bit further and before you know it your sloth is a full fledged human character. Our work has become an essential piece of my process.
