Caitlin Rigney is an actor, movement specialist, and choreographer. She has been teaching physical technique to actors for eight years. She studied at the professional acting conservatory at Mason Gross School of the Arts and graduated with her BFA in 2012. Ms. Rigney has been on faculty at Rutgers and currently teaches conservatory level movement at The William Esper Studio.

In addition to teaching in both the studio and conservatory setting, Caitlin is an active movement coach, coaching a variety of working actors in New York, LA, and the UK. She has worked with actors in projects such as Secret Invasion (Disney +), Primo (IMDb TV), Lady in the Lake (Apple TV), Roswell, NM (CW) and The Republic of Sarah (CW). Caitlin understands the demands of working with others in professional settings, and it is her passion to help students and actors achieve that level of success.

In working with a variety of artists of all levels, Caitlin has a special ability in helping them release tensions within their corporial beings, expand capacity for connection on a deep and vulnerable level and cultivate a deeper understanding of physical self. In addition to private coaching and teaching, Caitlin is a director and choreographer, working in live performance in the Tri-state area and is also certified by the British Academy of Dramatic Combat in single sword, rapier/dagger and unarmed.

The soul is a malleable thing, within a malleable body. All of us, inside and out, through and through are infinitely malleable. There are no rules or boundaries or shapes when it comes to the human body. If the soul is formless and free, so must be the body. xo
